This specimen was lot 3574 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,617 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, FÜRSTENTUM, Karl I. 1735-1780. Goldabschlag zu einem Dukaten von den Stempeln des Ku.-Pfennigs 1746, Zellerfeld. 3.48 g. Welter 2711. GOLD. Justiert, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Charles I, 1735-80. Gold strike of one ducat weight using copper penny dies, 1746, Zellerfled mint. Adjustment marks, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
