This specimen was lot 30664 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,468.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. Karl I Taler 1745-IHB AU58 NGC, KM920, Dav-2163. A large and illustrative example commemorating the Goodness of the Lord Mine with crowned complex arms and wildmen supporters. Overall pleasing silvery-gray patination with unbelievably sweet iridescent blue, amber, and gold highlights surrounding the coin's intricately detailed devices. A small reverse flan flaw needs mentioning, however it does nothing to detract from this coin's awesome eye-appeal."
