Estonia 1922 mark

Estonia, long occupied by Czarist Russia, obtained its independence in the aftermath of World War One. Reoccupied by the Russians in 1940, she was subject to Soviet rule until 1991, when the collapse of the Communists allowed the Estonians to once again reclaim independence. This one year type, accompanied by three and five marka, is fairly common. In 1929, the coinage was reformed so that 100 senti = one kroon.
