Stephen Album sale 32, lot 1287
GB SA32-1287r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1287 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $105.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN: AE ½ penny token, Walthamstow, British Copper Company, founded in 1808, BRUTUS, bare head left // Britannia seated left within wreath, much red original luster, About Unc." Walthamstow, formerly in the county of Essex, is now part of Greater London. The date we have assigned to this issue, 1808, is a mere guess.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper.

Catalog reference: W-624.
