This specimen was lot 75415 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (1590-92). London Mint; mm: Hand. Elizabeth I. PCGS VF-25. Obverse: Crowned bust left; Reverse: Square-topped coat-of-arms over long cross fourchee. From the Richard August Collection." This undated type was struck with various mintmarks 1582-1600. The hand mintmark seems to be fairly common.

Specification: 8 grains (0.54 g), 0.925 fine silver, 14 mm diameter.
