This specimen was lot 6583 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $306.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "PLANTAGENET. Richard I. 1189-1199. AR Penny. Short Cross type, class IIIab2/II mule. Canterbury mint; Roberd, moneyer. Struck in the name of Henry II, circa 1190-1194. Crowned bust facing, holding scepter / + ROBЄRD · ON · CΛN, voided short cross with small crosses in angles. TOned, some porosity. Near VF. From the Sidney W. Harl & Kenneth W. Harl Collection. Ex Classical Numismatic Auction VIII (27 September 1989), lot 776."
