This specimen was lot 41286 in Stack's Bowers Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction (Pittsburgh, August 2026), where it sold for $1,037. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (ca. 1123). London Mint; Alfwine, moneyer. Henry I. PCGS EF-45. Pellets in Quatrefoil (BMC xiv) type. Though some wear across the higher points is noted, this example otherwise offers a solid strike that is rather well centered. Additionally, the moneyer's name here appears with its full Latin ending, ALFPINVS, rather than its much more commonly-encountered shorter form. From the John P. Burnham Collection."
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver.
