This specimen was lot 5016 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,800 (about US$2,476 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ENGLAND, AB 1707 GROSSBRITANNIEN, AB 1801 VEREINIGTES KÖNIGREICH William I the Conqueror, 1066-1087. Penny, um 1066-1087, York. Bonnet type. Münzmeister Harthoulf. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung AU 58 (6976752-001). R Hübsche Patina, fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Liste "Neuer Zürcher Münzbote" 20, Spink & Son, Zürich, Oktober 1988, Nr. 12. (kingdom of England, William the Conqueror, 1066-87, penny, circa 1066-87, York mint, bonnet type. Rare, handsome patina, about extremely fine.)"
