Eichstatt 1738 ducat Fr-911
This specimen was lot 1888 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,300 (about US$1,809 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"EICHSTÄTT, BISTUM, Johann Anton II. von Freyberg, 1736-1757. Dukat 1738. Mit der stehenden Heiligen Walburga. GOLD. Min. gewellt, winz. Kratzer, fast vorzüglich. (Germany, bishopric of Eichstatt, Johann Anton II of Freyberg, 1736-57. Ducat of 1738. With the standing figure of St. Walburga, slightly wavy, light scratches, about extremely fine.)"
The bishopric issued another ducat in 1738 (KM 60) featuring St. Willibald on the reverse.
