This specimen was lot 74323 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. Ottoman Empire. 20 Qirsh, AH 1327 Year 2 (1910/1)-H. Birmingham (Heaton) Mint. Mehmed V. NGC AU-58." This type was struck years 2, 3, 4 and 6 at the Heaton mint. This is the scarcest of the four dates. The British already dominated Egypt by their control of the Suez Canal but made it official in 1916, when British troops occupied the country.
