This specimen was lot 76465 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. Ottoman Empire. 20 Para, AH 1277 Year 2 (1861/2). Cairo (Misr) Mint. Abdul Aziz. NGC MS-64." This type was struck years 1 thru 9. It competed with a bronze coin (KM 244) struck years 3-10. Forty para made a qirsh.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.
Specification: 0.68 g, 0.833 fine silver, 16 mm diameter.
