This specimen was lot 70636 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. Silver 20 Para, AH 1255 Year 18 (1855). Misr (Cairo) Mint. Abdulmecid I. NGC Unc Details--Obverse Scratched. A lesser-seen denomination in silver, this lightly toned and lustrous example unfortunately exhibits some minor cleaning, but nevertheless remains charming and desirable." This type was struck years 1 thru 23 and is fairly inexpensive in low grade.
