This specimen was lot 10386 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €720 (about US$751). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Speciedaler, 1824-FF. Altona Mint. Frederik VI. NGC AU-58. Powerful millefiori toning by obverse letters. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck at Copenhagen and Altona (shown here) 1820-29, 1833-39. None of the dates are rare but this one is slightly better.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 28.89 g, 0.875 fine silver, .812 troy oz ASW, 39 mm diameter, reeded edge, this specimen 28.84 g.
