Denmark 1512 skilling
This specimen was lot 10015 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €312 (about US$325). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, 1512. Malmö Mint. Hans. NGC EF Details--Cleaning. Excellent example and apart from the 'Anno Domino 1234' Penny and the Hans gold coinage, all of which are out of reach for the average collector, this is the first dated Danish coin. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex. Johan G. Guildal Collection (Private Sale - 1918)." At this time one gulden was 48 skilling or 144 hvide.
