one peso
El Banco De Londres y Mexico issued large numbers of notes 1889-1913, in denominations ranging from five to one thousand pesos. Mexican law forbade the issue of note below five pesos. Huerta rescinded this law after seizing power in 1914, and the bank responded by issuing a large amount of one and two pesos notes, all dated 1914. They were printed locally and the bank did not bother with overprints for the branches. All are 160 x 75 mm.
