Currency of the Banco de Jalisco
fifty centavos
This type was printed in 1898 but not issued until 1914, when the ban on low denomination notes was lifted. The Huerta regime also allowed banks to emit unlimited amounted of currency unrestrained by any trifles such as bullion backing. Despite this, this note is scarce, tho more available than M377a (shown below). Few of the bancos bothered to issue fifty centavos and it seems probable that this bank wouldn't have either if it did not already have these in their vaults.
Recorded issue: unknown.
