The Banco Mercantil de Yucatan opened in 1898 and operated until 1905, when it merged with the Banco Peninsular Mexicano. Five, ten, twenty, fifty, 100, 500 and 1000 peso notes exist altho only the five, ten and twenty are available. This $10 was issued 1904 and is not rare but comes only with the needle-punched "CANCELADO". This note was printed by ABNCo and measures 184 x 82 mm.
