Singapore, long a British crown colony, separated from Britain in 1963 as part of Malaysia. Economic disagreements and anti-Chinese rioting led Singapore to leave Malaysia in 1965. Tho undated, this note is from the series of 1967 and accompanied a five, ten, 25, fifty, hundred, 500, 1,000 and 10,000 dollar notes. The red signature seal, called "type II" in the SCWPM, was used only in 1972.
