This note was lot 7053 in Ponterio sale 151 (Baltimore, November 2009), where it sold for $3,220. The catalog description^[1] noted, "RWANDA-BURUNDI. 500 Francs, 15.9.1960. P-6. Being the key to the 1960 Issue notes we are sure to expect spirited bidding. It is beautifully designed and shows a vignette of a Rhinoceros at the right center. Deep color throughout the note is seen and excellent detail remains. The circulation is light and we only account for a pair of light vertical folds and some handling. EXTREMELY FINE."
