This specimen was lot 70651 in Stack's Bowers June 2022 World Collectors Choice Online Auction - World Paper Money (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "NEW ZEALAND. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand. 10/- Shillings, 1934. P-154. PMG Very Fine 30. PMG comments "Minor Rust"."
1934 5 pounds
This note was lot 8219 in Ponterio sale 150 (Los Angeles, August 2009), where it sold for $1610. The catalog description noted, "NEW ZEALAND. 5 Pounds, 1.8.1934. P-156. This note is quite scarce in higher grades, and this piece borders on the Uncirculated grade, with only slight handling and a faint vertical fold. UNCIRCULATED."
1940 10 shillings, one and five pounds
These three specimens were lot 5641 in Ponterio sale 152 (New York, January 2010), where they sold for $632.50. The catalog description noted, "NEW ZEALAND. 10 Shillings, 1 & 5 pounds, ND (1940-67). P-158d, 159a & 160a. (Lot of 3 notes.) A pleasing lower denomination group which shows each piece in a lovely Uncirculated grade save for the Five Pound note which has a light center fold. All have original paper and strong appeal. ABOUT UNCIRCULATED & UNCIRCULATED."
1956 50 pounds
This note was lot 8220 in Ponterio sale 150 (Los Angeles, August 2009), where it sold for $4,140. The catalog description noted, "NEW ZEALAND. 50 Pounds, ND (1956-67). P-162. This elusive note is one that many collectors will be aspiring to obtain. It does carry the more frequently seen signature of R.N. Fleming but makes up for that with absolutely pristine paper free from any defects whatsoever. UNCIRCULATED."
