The first specimen was lot 3300 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $646. The catalog description noted, "ICELAND. Landsbanki Islands. 100 Kroner, L. 1928. P-30e. An evenly circulated note with original paper and lovely color. Seldom offered and an outstanding BWC design type. Choice Very Fine."
The second specimen was lot 3302 in Ponterio sale 173 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $329. The catalog description noted, "ICELAND. Landsbanki Islands. 50 Kronur, L. 1928. P-34a. A note which is technically outstanding with large even margins, deeply embossed paper and vibrant color. Nearly impossible to improve upon. Gem Uncirculated."
