This coin was issued to honor the twenty-fifth anniversary of the central bank of Costa Rica, an event of breathtaking insignificance even in Costa Rica. It is accompanied by a nickel five colones (KM 203) and ten colones (KM 204).
Recorded mintage: 1,995,111 plus 5,000 proofs.
Specification: nickel, 36 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 205.
