This type, is a one-year only issue that was overstruck over a copper-nickel issue from 1903 of 2 centavos (KM#144). The undertype is clearly visible on the reverse of the shown example. Brass five centimos (KM 179) are also noted for the year.

Recorded mintage: 274,000.
