This specimen was lot 1012 in Sedwick sale 25 (Winter Park, FL, May 2019), where it sold for $340.34. The catalog description[1] noted, "Costa Rica, 1/2 real, 1842MM, Carrillo. Nicely toned VF with tiny hole at top, typical condition for this scarce one-year type." This one year type has no photo in the SCWC. This holed specimen realized the catalog value for a specimen without a hole.
