This specimen was lot 17618 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $1,380. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bellflower, CA - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The Commercial NB Ch. # 12754, A very rare note with only four examples, all tens, reported to date from the bank, a figure which, interestingly enough, has not changed since we sold this note to Lowell in 1992. Nice Fine. Ex-Currency Auctions of America's November, 1992 sale, lot 2039."
