This specimen was lot 17657 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $2,415. The catalog description[1] noted, "Colton, CA - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 618 The Colton NB Ch. # (P)8608, An extremely scarce Colton bank with this the sole Date Back of any denomination reported to date. Even the massive Colver collection had but one example from this large only bank, which, despite being lower grade than this piece, realized almost $800 in 1999. Fine+, with purple signatures. From CAA's January, 2000 Orlando sale, lot 2362."

This specimen was lot 20296 in Heritage auction 3574 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Colton, CA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The Colton NB Ch. # 8608 PMG Very Fine 30. A new addition to the census of this very scarce Colton bank which issued large notes only before liquidating in 1929. Just the eleventh example to be reported, it is a very pretty specimen with bright paper and traces of embossing. With none of the other known pieces grading better Very Fine, this is certainly one of the finer survivors from this charter. From the Norris Turner Collection."
