This copper-nickel peso was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, of a type issued 1974-81. It replaced an earlier type struck in 1967 which was not a success.

Recorded mintage: 117,714,000.

Specification: copper nickel, 25.3 mm diameter. Per Numista, this coin is actually nickel brass (65% Cu-20% Zn-15% Ni).
