This specimen was lot 20414 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 2 1/2 Centavos 1900, MS64 NGC, nicely toned with bold features, rare type struck at the Waterbury Mint. This type was apparently introduced to circulation in Colombian controlled Panama, and then replaced with United States coinage after the US led rebellion." The country adopted its current name, "Republica de Colombia," in 1886. This issue is listed but not priced in the SCWC.
