Künker sale 352, lot 1949

This specimen was lot 1949 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,644 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"KÖLN, ERZBISTUM, Hermann V. von Wied, 1515-1546. Goldgulden 1516, unbekannte Münzstätte. GOLD. RR Sehr schön. (Germany, archbishopric of Cologne, Hermann V of Wied, 1515-46, goldgulden of 1516, unknown mint. Very rare, very fine.)"

This type is listed in Friedberg for 1515, 1517-31 and 1545-46 but is rare.
