This specimen was lot 53009 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Chekiang. 10 Cents, Year 13 (1924). PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. Glistening and fully resplendent, this Gem minor offers intense steely gray brilliance and some hints of burnished amber on the flags side." After being fairly prolific at the beginning of the century, Chekiang lapsed into inactivity after 1906. The only issues during the republic are this ten cents and an accompanying twenty cents (Y-373).
