This specimen was lot 2068 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $420. The catalog description[1] noted, "CEYLON: George V, 1910-1936, AR 25 cents, 1911, a fantastic lustrous example! PCGS graded MS66, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This type was struck 1911-14 and 1917 and this is a slightly better date. The subsequent type of 1919-28 was only 0.550 fine silver. Ceylon attained its independence in 1948 after the British left India and is now known as Sri Lanka.
