This specimen was lot 50359 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $559. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Dollar, 1935. PCGS MS-66 Secure Holder. Pleasing tone." The type was struck in 1935 to honor the silver jubilee of king George V, who died the following year. This issue is the only instance of this bust appearing on Canadian coinage. It was saved in considerable numbers and is readily available today.
