Canada 1925 cent
This specimen was lot 22212 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $211.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1925. NGC MS-64 BN. KEY DATE. A single point from finest graded at NGC and PCGS combined. Solid catalog values across the grade spectrum in Krause, and quite elusive in this high grade. Wood grain textured toning across the obverse, with considerable remaining red luster peering up from the mostly brown surfaces. For collectors of Canadian small cents, a coin you won't want to miss out on." This type, struck at Ottawa 1920-36, is common in all grades tho the years 1922-25 are scarce.
