PMG Very Fine 20. 1 of 16 $10 Plain Backs recorded here by the National Bank Note Census. Good color, even circulation, and extant signatures are apparent."

This specimen was lot 17803 in Heritage auction 354 (the Horwedel sale, Long Beach, CA, September 2004), where it sold for $431.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Long Beach, CA - $10 1929 Ty. 2 California First NB Ch. # 11873. When we last sold this note in January 2002, it brought more than $600 against an estimate of $250-$350...which sinmply proves the popularity of notes from Long Beach. This one has an interesting husband and wife signature combination. Very Good. From CAA's January, 2002 Orlando sale, lot 2927."
