This specimen was lot 895 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €160 (about US$185 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, BOURGOGNE, Duché, Philippe le Bon (1419-1467), AR blanc à l'écu, 4e émission (1439-1441). Étoile à la pointe de l'écu. D/ + PHS DVX ET COMES BVRGONDI Écu aux sept quartiers. R/ + SIT (molette) NOME DNI BENEDICTVM Croix fleuronnée, cantonnée de deux lions et de deux fleurs de lis. Rare. Petites taches de vert-de-gris au revers. (kingdom of France, duchy of Burgundy, Philip the Good, 1419-67, silver blanc of the shield, fourth emission (1439-41), star at the point of the shield. Obverse: shield with seven quarters; reverse: floriate cross cantonned with two lions and two lilies. Rare, traces of verdigris on the reverse, Very Fine.)
