This specimen was lot 73257 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA. 10 Leva, 1978. PCGS PROOF-68 Cameo. Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottomans. This cameo example is both well struck and well preserved and displays just limited spotting prevents a this coin from reaching a higher grade." This is one in a series of silver NCLT's struck to this module. The five leva struck earlier in the decade was abandoned as inflation began to bite.

Recorded mintage: 200,000 proofs.

Specification: 29.85 g, 0.500 fine silver.
