Jean Elsen sale 124, lot 1282

This specimen was lot 1282 in Jean Elsen sale 124 (Brussels, March 2015), where it sold for €420 (about US$524 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BULGARIE, République (1946-), AV 20 leva, 1963, 1100e anniversaire de l'alphabet cyrillique. Flan Poli. (republic of Bulguria, 1946-, gold twenty leva of 1963, 1100th anniversary of the Cyrillic alphabet. Proof.)"

This commemorative was accompanied by a gold ten leva (KM 67).

Recorded mintage: 3,000.

Specification: 16.89 g, 0.900 fine gold, .485 troy oz AGW.
