This specimen was lot 70287 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA. 50 Stotinki, 1937. NGC MS-64. This nicely preserved near-Gem survivor exhibits a good strike with an attractive brassy coloration." This issue was the last of the denomination. The only other Bulgarian coin of 1937 was a silver 100 leva.
