This specimen was lot 23228 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sultanate Proof Cent AH1304 (1887), PR64 Red Brown NGC, highly attractive with red-orange mint luster and flashy reflective surfaces. Rare in Proof, this is the first example we have seen." This is the only milled coinage recorded for the sultanate in the nineteenth century. It is not rare in circulated condition but the proofs are very rare.
