Brazil 1919 20 reis rev DSLR.jpg

Shown is a copper-nickel twenty réis of the United States of Brazil. This is the regular issue, struck 1918-21, 1927 and 1935. Unlike the larger hundred and four hundred réis, this denomination was not used for the series of commemoratives issued during the thirties. The SCWC notes two varieties for 1919, with and without dot between the "2" and the "0" in the denomination. This specimen seems to be without dot.

Recorded mintage: 2,870,000 (all varieties).

Specification: copper-nickel.

Catalog reference: KM 516.1.
