Sincona sale 100, lot 1025

This specimen was lot 1025 in Sincona Auction 100 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 42,000 CHF (about US$63,303 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Brandenburg-Preussen, Markgrafschaft, 1417 Kurfürstentum, 1701 Königreich. Friedrich Wilhelm, 1640-1688. Taler 1667, Berlin. Auf den Tod seiner ersten Gemahlin Louise Henriette von Nassau-Oranien am 8. Juni 1667. Wardein Jobst Liebmann. LUDOVICA.DG.MARCH:AC:EL:BRAND.NATA PRINCARANS Brustbild der Kurfürstin halblinks. Rv. NATA / HAG(AE) ANNO / 1627 DIE 17 NOV: / NUPTA / IBIDEM ANNO / 1646 DIE 27 NOVEM: / DENATA / COLON: AD SPREAM: / ANNO 1667 DIE / 8 IUNNII / *I*L*. Von grösster Seltenheit. NGC MS62. The elector issued three different memorial thalers for his death wife, KM 363/Dav-6195, KM 364/Dav-6196 and KM 365/Dav-6197. All are very rare.
