Bombay AH 1141(11) mohur Fr-1545
This specimen was lot 1160 in CNG sale Triton XXVII (New York, January 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA, Colonial. British India. Bombay Presidency. 1662-1835. AV Mohur. in the name of Muhammad Shah (AH 1131-1161 /1719-1748). Mumbai (Bombay) mint. Dually dated AH 114[1] and RY 11 (1729/30). sikka mubarak badshah ghazi muhammad shah / zarb munbai sanah 11 julus maimanat manus. Lightly toned, minor roughness and die rust, slightly wavy flan, ex jewelry, traces of underlying luster. VF. Extremely rare. Ex Robert P. Puddester Collection, purchased in London, July 2007." The SCWC does not mention any mohur from Bombay for this emperor; Friedberg's sole listing (Fr-1545) lacks a photo.
