Bologna 1784 baiocco

This type was issued in 1784 for Pius VI (1774-99) in several varieties, which vary in the placement of the stars on the obverse. The baiocco superseded the bolognino in 1777. Bologna was the last branch mint of the Papal States, operating until the 1850's.
