Künker sale 406, lot 4836

This specimen was lot 4836 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,231 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ, BERN, Stadt. Guldiner 1493. RR Rand und Felder bearbeitet, altvergoldet, schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, guldiner of 1493. Very rare, tooling in fields and on the edge, old gilding, fine to very fine.)"

Davenport notes this type for 1493-94 and 1501.
