Goldberg sale 109, lot 2254
Bermuda G109-2254r.jpg

This specimen was lot 2254 in Goldberg sale 109 (Los Angeles, January 2019), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bermuda. 30 Dollars, 2006. Wreck of the Sea Venture. NGC graded One of First 300 Struck, Gem Proof." The cataloguers from Goldberg used the SCWC data for KM 101, which we have reproduced here. Unfortunately, that coin was issued in 1997, not 2006, and, lacking a photo, we don't know if this was a reissue of that type or a wholly new design, which seems more likely. The SCWC does not list this coin for 2006 but notes two other $30 pieces, KM 143 and KM 151, both one ounce of gold.

Recorded mintage: 1,500 proofs.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, 27 mm diameter, 0.500 ounce AGW.

Catalog reference: KM-101.
