This specimen was lot 629 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €300 (about US$388 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bavaria, KÖNIGREICH Ludwig I. 1825-1848. Konv.-Taler 1833. Zollverein. Feine Patina, vorzüglich. (kingdom of Bavaria, Louis I, 1825-48, crown thaler of 1833, on the customs union. Fine patina, extremely fine.)"
This commemorative honored the creation of the German customs union.
Recorded mintage: unknown but slightly scarce.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, lettered edge.
