This specimen was lot 77197 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $1,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. Goldgulden, 1675. Ferdinand Maria. PCGS AU-58. Strad[d]ling the line of Mint State, this survivor is rather attractive with a great amount of originality remaining. From the G. L. Hermann Collection." Reported in the SCWC at full ducat weight, the weight of this specimen shows that a lighter standard was used. It was struck 1674-79 and tho not cheap, is more available than other Bavarian ducats of the seventeenth century.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 3.25 g, 0.917 fine gold, this specimen 3.22 g.
