Jean Elsen sale 133, lot 1339

This specimen was lot 1339 in Jean Elsen sale 133 (Brussels, June 2017), where it sold for €190 (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"NEDERLAND, BAAR-BATENBURG-GRONSVELD ?, AR St. Ludgerdaalder, z.j. Vz/ Gekroond borstbeeld met scepter en rijksappel naar r. Kz/ Klimmende leeuw naar l. met leeuwenschild. Zeldzaam Barst. Fraai. (Netherlands, county of Batenburg, silver daalder without date. Obverse: crowned half-length bust with scepter and orb; reverse: lion rampant supporting arms. Scarce, fine.)"

This was probably issued 1556-63 by Willem von Bronckhorst. The attribution is uncertain.
