This specimen was lot 2996 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIAN NETHERLANDS: Maria Theresa, 1740-1780, AE liard, Brussels, 1778, much remaining mint luster, NGC graded MS64 RB." This type was struck for Maria Theresia 1776-80. The obverse legend, "M·T·D·G·R·IMP·G·H B·REG·A·A·D·BURG·" can be expanded into "Maria Theresia Dei gratia Romanorum Imperatrix, Germaniae, Hungariae, Bohemiae Regina, Archidux Austriae, Ducissa Burgundiae". The angel face at the bottom of the reverse is the Brussels mintmark, no longer really necessary because the Antwerp mint was closed. Eighty liards made a florin.

Specification: 3.75 g, copper, 22 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-28.
