This specimen was lot 33356 in Heritage sale 3082 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria: Franz Joseph I gold 4 Ducat 1902 MS61 NGC. A piece which very much seems wanting of a Proof or Prooflike designation, the surfaces possessing full reflectivity and a mild frost present atop the devices." This type was struck 1872-1915 in substantial numbers but the 1915 restrike is most commonly seen.

Specification: 13.96 g, 0.986 fine gold, 39 mm diameter.
